Eat, Pray, Love?

So my very dear friend Jenny mentioned this book to me today and thought I'd like it. Said it's reminiscent of this blog, when I remember to post.

Comments? Thoughts? Reviews?

PS: Erica, please note that I posted today. Happy New Year!

I have just about 40 pages left, I think. I loved the Eat part – if only I could eat with such abandon.

This seems to be a book you either love or not – so far I'm on the "love" side. Will be anxious to hear your thoughts.

If you haven't bought it yet, I have it. I enjoyed it while I was reading it, but the more I thought about it/discussed it, the more the book !@#$ed me off. Book in a nutshell: Abandon everything including your family for a year and spend every waking minute thinking about yourself and you too can find total bliss.

Loved, loved, loved the Eat part. Didn't love the other parts, but she's a fabulous writer, and I appreciated the whole book. Expected to skim the Pray part, but didn't. I cannot say I get the connection to your blog, though I haven't visited in a little while. Have you been crying on your bathroom floor???

Don't really agree with the above nutshell. She was a divorced, childless woman. I don't think "abandon" really captures it.
